Pastor:  Jonathan King 

 

Jonathan was raised in a Christian home where he came to know Christ as his savior as  

a young boy (Praise be to God!).  He grew up attending Bridgeport Chapel and feels blessed to be part of this loving family of God, and to be a part of what God is doing in and through the church.

​Jonathan holds a BA in Bible and Theology from Shasta Bible College,  and a Master of

 

Divinity from Corban University School of Ministry (formerly Northwest Baptist Seminary).  

 

Jonathan met Laura while at Shasta and they were married in 2008  They have been blessed with five wonderful daughters. ​He became the lead pastor at Bridgeport in 2021, when the previous pastor retired after 39 years.

 

Jonathan loves to teach through the Bible expositionally, with the goal that God's people would learn and grow, all for the glory of God.  He also enjoys spending time with his family, visiting with friends, and exploring the outdoors — camping, hiking, skiing, and more (all while drinking coffee if possible!).   â€‹
